「ink couture project」

This is a design project to discover the potential of non-woven fabrics used for cleaning up waste ink from offset printing presses, by considering them as a new material. The origin of this material is defined as a new coloring method called "printing and dyeing," which has both aspects of "printing" and "dyeing. In contrast to designed, mass-produced printed materials, "print-dyeing," in which waste ink is wiped off, becomes a textile with an appealing individuality created by accident. We take an approach that explores its place and tailors it into a new product.
